First launch

The launcher

Ayatsuri2D starts with a short particle splash in your primary colour while it checks GitHub for a newer release. Click to skip it, or turn it off in Settings > General.

The home screen

• Open… opens a .aom, .moc3, .model3.json, .psd or .kra. You can also drop any of those onto the window.
• New model… starts an empty model; import art into it with File > Import PSD….
• Recent shows the models you opened, with a picture of each. Right-click one to open it, show it in its folder, rename, duplicate, copy its path or remove it from the list.

When a newer version is out, a banner at the top offers Update now (or the release page, where the app can't update itself), with What's new folded underneath.

Your work is safe

• Autosave keeps a copy of unsaved work every two minutes.
• If the editor ever crashes, it undoes the edit that was running, saves a recovery copy and writes a full log. On the next start, Recover Unsaved Work offers anything left behind.
• Undo keeps up to 16 steps.
