Physics playlists
A playlist plays animation scenes against the physics, so you can watch hair and clothes swing through real motion instead of moving sliders by hand. It lives on the Playlist tab of Modeling > Physics Settings….
Making a playlist
The Playlists list on the left holds the model's playlists. New playlist adds one and Delete playlist removes the picked one; both are also in the page's Playlist menu. With no playlist yet the page says so: press + and add scenes. Each scene you add as a group is its own group; a group's scenes play together.
Groups and scenes
A playlist is a list of groups, played top to bottom. The scenes in one group play at the same time.
| Add as group | the picked scene as a new group at the end, played after the others |
| Add to group | the picked scene into the selected group, played with what is already there |
| Move up / Move down | moves the selected entry |
| Remove | takes the selected scene out |
| Remove group | takes the whole group out |
Each scene in a group has a blend and a weight. Overwrite sets the parameters to the scene's values; Add puts the scene's values on top of what the others set.
Playing
The bar above the list picks the playlist and has Play the playlist (press again to pause), Stop (back to the start) and Loop. Fading: Crossfade blends one group into the next, over Fading Time(ms):. The Playlist menu's Play / stop does the same as the play button.
The playlist plays while Physics Settings is open: the scenes drive the parameters over the rest pose, and with Run physics on in the Preview menu the pendulums swing on top. Without Loop it stops at the end.
Playlists are saved inside the .aom. They are a preview aid and are not exported.
