Physics

The Physics page

Physics makes hair, ears and clothes swing on their own when the head moves. Ayatsuri's physics works like Cubism's: pendulums read input parameters (like Angle X) and write output parameters (like Hair Front).

Open Modeling > Physics settings.

Groups

Each physics group is one pendulum chain with its own inputs and outputs. Pick a group at the top; Add…, Duplicate… and Group editing… manage them; Enable turns one off.

Inputs

Which parameters push the pendulum, as Position X or Angle, how much (Effectiveness), and whether each is reflected. Normalization of input sets the range each input type maps to.

Outputs

Which parameters the pendulum drives, from which point on the chain, and how strongly.

Pendulums

Each pendulum's Duration, Ease of swinging, Reaction time and Speed of convergence. The Pendulum preview follows the real parameters; Swing gives it a push.

In the editor

The Physics toggle in the toolbar runs physics live. Turning it off puts physics-driven parameters back to rest, so they sit on their keys for editing. Physics only redraws while something is still moving.

A Playlist tab (playing animation scenes against the physics) is planned.
